Frequently Asked Questions

Because every home and job site is different, each ramp we install is designed around the specific requirements of the end user. That means the cost of a rental can vary from one rental to the next. To provide the most accurate estimate, we’ll always ask for a few basic details — your address, the approximate rise (or height) of the entryway, and the estimated duration of the rental.

For pricing and availability, give us a call at (517) 278-3293 or fill out our Estimate Form. We’ll guide you through the rest.

Most ramps follow ADA guidelines, which call for at least 12 inches of ramp for every inch of rise. A 21-inch rise, for example, needs roughly 21 feet of ramp. If you don’t know the rise, you can estimate based on the number of steps. Most steps are 7–10 inches tall, so three steps typically equal a rise of 21–30 inches and require 21–30 feet of ramp.

This is only a rough guide — actual ramp length can vary based on landscaping, obstacles, and other safety requirements.

We install all of our ramps according to ADA guidelines. In some areas, a building permit may also be required, and those permits can come with additional code requirements. If that applies to your project, we’ll help you understand what’s needed to stay compliant.

Our home evaluations and site visits are always free. There’s no commitment and no pressure — just a chance for us to see the space, understand your needs, and recommend the safest ramp setup for your situation.

Beyond the monthly rental fee, each project includes an installation fee and a removal fee. Both are based on the size of the ramp system and the distance from our Coldwater, Michigan headquarters. In most cases, the removal fee is the same as the installation fee.

If you’d like exact pricing, we can provide a clear estimate once we understand the details of your installation.

Our ramps are built from durable, lightweight aluminum. They’re designed to be low-maintenance, rust-free, and non-corrosive — a reliable solution that holds up in real, everyday conditions.

Snow and ice can be cleared with a shovel, broom, or any standard ice-melt product, including salt. We recommend using a plastic shovel and a stiff-bristled brush to protect the ramp surface while keeping it safe to use in winter conditions.

We know how important timely access can be. Most evaluations and installations can be completed within one business day — and same-day service is often available for urgent needs.

As a general rule, renting makes the most sense if you’ll need the ramp for less than nine months. After that, purchasing typically becomes the more cost-effective option. For long-term needs, we recommend purchasing a system from our partner, Rampit USA.

If you’re not sure, renting is a comfortable place to start. We can always explore purchase options later if your situation changes.

If you decide to purchase your ramp during the rental period, we’ll apply up to 75% of the rental fees you’ve already paid toward the purchase price. It’s an easy way to transition from temporary to permanent access without losing your investment.
